She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Cook and Catherine Cook (LaFrance); and her siblings, Richard, Madeleine, James, Clarence and Michael Cook.
She is survived by: her husband Theodore J. Peters; her children, Travis "Tehatase", Kawennahente (Ian), Teioswathe (Harvey) and Nihahsennaas (Elisha); her stepdaughters, Terri (Brooke), Dawn and Tammy; and her siblings, Elizabeth Cook-Peters (Richard), Charles Cook (Joan) and Dominic Cook (Missy). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Akwesasne Caring Hearts, Tina's Pride, Akwesasne Cancer Support Group or either Mohawk Language Immersion Program in Akwesasne.
