He was predeceased by: his parents, John Christian Steinberg, Sr. and Isis Mary Steinberg (Kinser); his wife Ann L. Steinberg (Robbins); and his sister Valeda Slade (Steinberg). He is survived by: his children, Leslie Gray (Prentiss), Meredith Steinberg (Lawrence Popino), John J. Steinberg (Linda) and Caroline Steinberg; his niece Arietta Slade (Sam Felder); and his grandsons, Matthew, Zachary and Nathaniel Gray.
