She was predeceased by: her parents, James Caldwell and Irene Caldwell (Oakes); her son Richard Joseph Benedict; and her siblings, Darrell, Gordon Caldwell and Dale Caldwell.
She is survived by: her husband Adam Benedict; her children, Cordell Benedict of Akwesasne and Rachel Benedict of Akwesasne; and her siblings, Judy Caldwell of Oka, Charmaine Caldwell of Akwesasne, Jonathan Caldwell (Susan) of Akwesasne and Richard Caldwell (Janet) of Akwesasne. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Akwesasne Homemakers (1126 River Road, Snye, QC H0M1A1). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
