She was predeceased by: her parents, John Tiernan and Teresa Tiernan; and also, John Tiernan, Wanda Tiernan, Tim McCabe and Margaret "Peg" Fitton.
She is survived by: her husband George Leahy; her children, Deirdre Hart (John), Maura Leahy (Matthew Macri), Aileen Leahy (Mark Vignola) and James Leahy (Lakisha); her granddaughters, Maggie and Dorothy Hart; and her siblings, Terence Tiernan, Ellen Hickey (Larry), Bernard Tiernan (Doris), Michael Tiernan (Maria), Mary Ann Tiernan-O'Grady, Denise Munroe and Patricia Tiernan. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.
