Matilde Mendes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matilde Mendes of Cornwall on Hudson, New York, who passed away on December 1, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Cardoso and Prazeres Cardoso (Dias); her son Dennis Anthony Mendes; and her grandson Justin M. Swilpa. She is survived by: her husband Manuel Mendes; her daughters, Joyce Halvorsen (Joe) of Cornwall-On, Patricia Brand (Tommy), Georgianna McGuire (Mendes) of Middle Hope, NY and Victoria Mendes of Cornwall, NY; her grandchildren, Kristen Halvorsen, Nichole Calamari (Steve), Tyler Swilpa and Joshua Halvorsen; and her great grandchild Peyton Claire Calamari.
