It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Manuel Mendes of Cornwall on Hudson, New York, who passed away on May 4, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Denis Mendes and Gravelina Mendes (Pacheco); his wife Matilde Mendes; his son Dennis Anthony Mendes; and his grandson Justin M. Swilpa.
He is survived by: his daughters, Joyce Halvorsen (Joe) of Cornwall-On, Patricia Brand (Tom) of New Windsor, NY, Georgianna McGuire (Mendes) of Middle Hope, NY and Victoria Mendes of Cornwall, NY; his grandchildren, Kristen Halvorsen (Dominic Marvin), Nichole Calamari (Steve), Tyler Swilpa and Joshua Halvorsen; and his great grandchild Peyton Claire Calamari.
Based on new CDC guidelines adopted by NYS, fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks or be socially distanced, but unvaccinated individuals must continue to wear masks and be socially distanced in the funeral home.
