He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Smith and Josephine Smith (Lessing); his sister Terry Fisher; and his nephew Brian Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carol Smith (Blaine); his children, Karen Mahon (Hoffman), Deborah Brown (Hoffman), Joseph Hoffman (Virginia) of New Windsor, NY and Cynthia Richard (Hoffman); his grandchildren, Alayna, EllaJane, Colton, James, Shea, Van, Summer and Skylar; and his siblings, Mary Murdock (Danny) of Milletown, IN and Frank Smith (Joan) of Islip, NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
