He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence D. Benton and Dorothy M. Dumas; and his wife Joan E. Benton. He is survived by: his sons, Leigh J. (Victoria) and Kevin C. (Vanessa); and his granddaughters, Jasmine (Slattery) and Faith. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
