It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sterling Edgar Crook of Corning, New York, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 16, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sterling Crook and Grace Crook (Hedglin); his wife Phyllis; his daughters, Susan Cabral (John) of Oceanside, CA and Beth Russo (Martin) of Corning; his stepchildren, Doug Wicks (Donna) of Morris, PA, Janice Landfair (Bill) of Norfolk, VA and Sheila DeRaad (Mark) of Redding, WA.; and his sisters, Janice Kimbrough of Longwood, FL, Barbara Crook of Middlebrook, FL, Sandra Davis of Avoca, PA and Donna Richards (Ken) of Dalton, PA.. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a large extended family including nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to COVID restrictions, a private family memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Grace United Methodist Church, 191 Bridge Street in Corning. All COVID-19 regulations apply.
