It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Miller Sr. of Corning, New York, born in Hornell, New York, who passed away on September 27, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lawrence L. Miller and Verda S. Miller (Hargrave); his wife Joyce Miller of Corning; his children, Richard Miller Jr. of Beaver Dams, Michael Miller (Aimee) of Corning and Lori Calkins (Greg) of East Corning; his grandchildren, Shelly Long (Aaron), Katie Miller, Desiree Bush (Andy), Paul Harvey Jackson, Chase Miller, Colin Calkins, Carter Calkins (Erin), Connor Calkins and Caden Calkins; his siblings, Gloria Woodworth of Canisteo, Denise Courtright of Greenwood, Walt Miller of Canisteo, Gail Havens and Debbie Roche; his brothers-in-law, Alan Woodworth, Keith Roberts, Rick Roche and Mahlon Courtright; and also Verda Miller of Canisteo. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

“Many, many good, funny memories were had with the guys and wives from NYSEG - target shooting for our Christmas hams and turkeys, picnics at the Dershams and elsewhere, (yes, his glasses are still in the pond) fun at the legion, weddings and retirements.
