It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard H. Cowles of Corning, New York, born in Elmira, New York, who passed away on July 2, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellsworth C. Cowles and Charlotte Mae Harding Cowles; his brother Kenneth; and his wife Marcia J. Crooker Cowles. He is survived by: his children, Charlotte Ruth (Michael Belzer) and Curtis Richard (Barbara); his sister Marilyn Overstrom (Frank); his grandchildren, Erin Wilson, Neal Wilson (Lacey Wozny) and Kyle Belzer; his stepgrandsons, Robert Jackson (Kyle) and Michael Bernd (Andrea); his great grandchildren, Caiden Bernd and Sophie Marcia Belzer; his nieces, Diane Furch and Rebecca Olivet; and his nephew Steve Wilson.
