John David Sherrod Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John David Sherrod of Corning, New York, who passed away on December 7, 2024 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Sherrod and Louvenia Sherrod (Welch); his siblings, Harold, Clarence, Sam and Winifred; and his nephew Bruce Hopkins.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Mavis; his children, Thomas Sherrod (Victoria) of Corning, Shelby Phillips (Dale) of Campbell, Matthew Sherrod of Campbell and Joseph Putnam (Gloria) of Corning; his siblings, Donald, Roy, Nancy, Linda, Evelyn and Virginia; and his pet Bandit. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
