He is survived by: his close friend Sandy Wallace; his children, Joe Benson (Kim), Kathy Richardson (Carl), Margaret Foo (Elliot), Dan Benson (Katy) and Tom Benson (Susan); his stepdaughter Jamie Rackl (Chris); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Sarah Benson, Emily, Nicole Foo, Annie, Mike, Matt Benson, Megan, Benson Richardson, Nick and Marie Benson; his brother David; and his pets, Patrick, Sam and Pete.
