He is survived by: his wife Anita Frost Mayes; his daughters, Kelly Winters and Kathy Mayes; his grandsons, John Winters (Kim), Joe Winters (Ashley), Brady Watson and Adam Watson; his sisters-in-law, Janet Dadson (Denny) and Jean Horigan (Ted); and his cousin Betty Townsend.
