He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Sowersby and Anna Sowersby; and his sister Gail Elizabeth. He is survived by: his brother David Sowersby (Eldona Sowersby); his nieces, Michele Miles (Paul Miles), Gail Yama (Venu Yama), Paula Sowersby (Charlie Hicks), Kimberly Ronk and Mandy White; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, David, Jacob, Jordan, Tyree Sowersby, Priya Yama, Caityln, Braeden Miles, Halle and Liadan Hicks.
He was a giver, so in lieu of flowers donations can be made directly to Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning, NY 14830 to assist with the funeral expenses. If anything is left after services have been paid for, we will ask the funeral home to donate it to the American Heart Association.
