He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Junquist Keeney and James Keeney Sr.; his stepfather Wilbur Watson; his stepson Leon Briggs; and his brother John Keeney.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Keeney of Corning; his children, Kimberly (Todd Chapman), James Keeney and Robin (Kevin West); his stepchildren, April Briggs, Ken Wolcott of Painted Post, Belinda, Robert Thompson of Scio, NY, Adam Briggs and Brian Riggs of Corning; his grandchildren, Emily Carson and Luca Nichols; and his siblings, Dorr Keeney (Ansel) of Beaver Dams, Jerry Keeney of Utica, Robert Keeney of Hendersonville, NC, Steven Keeney of Las Vegas, NV, Walter Keeney of Okemah, OK, Janis Clark of Hendersonville, NC and Marybeth Good of Corning. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Grace Lee Memorial Wesleyan Church (2075 Chambers Rd, Beaver Dams, NY 14812). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations are suggested for either the Beaver Dams Fire Dept. or the American Cancer Society.
