It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Hilligus (Corning, New York), born in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 17, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James M. Confer and Isabella Confer (Johnston); her spouse DeForrest N. Hilligus; her daughter Meshael Nelson; and her granddaughter BillieJo Gee.
She is survived by: her daughters, Crystal Bills (Brian Ross) of Hornby, Robbin Shepherd (Renn) of Tyrone, DeAnne Rarrick (Jerome) of Hornby, Stephanie Sikes of Houston, TX and Leslie Kirk (Dan) of Hornby; her siblings, Doris Macke of Liberty, PA and Robert Confer of Washington State; and her son-in-law Ron Nelson of Corning. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
