Gene Tunney Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 27, 2022, at the age of 95, Gene Tunney of Corning, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Rangstrom; and his siblings, Dr. Thomas Tunney (Virginia), John Tunney (Helen), T. William Tunney (Doris), Joseph Tunney (Joan), Evelyn Culligan (Thomas), Ann Thomas (Albert) and Elizabeth "Betty" Tunney.

He is survived by: his children, Thomas Tunney (Marion), Beth Tunney, Bridget Cevette (Robert), Kathleen Miller (Ted), Kevin Tunney (Cherie) and Gene "Tuba" Tunney; his grandchildren, Michael Tunney (Renee), Brian Tunney (Caitlin Chugg), Shawn Cevette, Daniel Cevette, Conor Tunney and Delaney Tunney; his great grandchildren, Patrick Tunney and Isla Tunney; and his sister-in-law Clair Elton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
