She was predeceased by: her parents, Grace Cole and Edgar Cole; her former husband Major James Dancer; her husband William Haflett (Bill); her daughter Joy Benishek; and her sisters, Ruth Guldenschuh, Ann MacMurdo and Donna Cole.
She is survived by: her children, Ruthanne Bigler (Dave) of Chambersburg, PA, Terry Reade (Michael) of Corning, NY, Barbara Sherman of Pulaski, NY and Major John Dancer (Geri) of Charlotte, NC; and her stepson Daniel Haflett of Montour Falls, NY. She is also survived by 15 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Major Doris Dancer-Haflett affectionately known as "Major Dee" should be sent to the Corning Salvation Army, 32 Denison Parkway East, Corning, NY 14830.
