It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthony J. Sofia of Corning, New York, who passed away on March 5, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Catherine (Cuda) and Joseph Sofia; his brother Mark; and his sisters-in-law, Eileen Sofia and Rita Rocco Wass.
He is survived by: his friend Jim Strates; his wife Joanne Rocco; his children, Joseph Sofia (Pamela) of Dove Canyon, CA, Kathy Sando of Flagstaff, AZ and Marybeth Loden of Flagstaff, AZ; his sister-in-law Mona Lucas of Virginia Beach; his brother Michael Carapella of Addison; his friends, Christy Mendoza and Angela Acly Carr; and his grandsons, John Sando, Gregory Sando, Joseph Sofia Jr. and Evan Sofia. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
