With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cynthia D. Giebfried of Coram, New York, born in Maspeth, New York, who passed away on December 4, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Cynthia leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Cynthia may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

She was predeceased by: her husband Francis; and her granddaughter Melanie. She is survived by: her sons, Frank (Patty) of Bayport and Phillip (Jennifer) of Selden; her grandchildren, Olivia, Eric and Jason; and her sister Phyllis Galvin (Bob) of Florida.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Homes (245 Main St, West Sayville, NY 11796). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Frances Cabrini RC Church (134 Middle Country Rd, Coram, NY 11727). A burial was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at the Calverton National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions made in Cynthia's memory to Bide-a-wee Adoption Center, 118 Old Country Road, Westhampton, New York 11977, are appreciated.

“Cindi and I met when I was 13 yrs old. We remained close friends for the next 62 years. We graduated from the same HS, and got married within 6 weeks of each other. My first child was born on 9/6/69 her first on 9/9/69. I will miss her laughter and somewhat irreverent wit forever.”
