It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clifford G. Mattis of Copenhagen, New York, who passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Arthur and Frances Margaret Mattis (Bailey); his grandson Dale Gates Mattis; and his siblings, Margaret K. Mattis and Richard J. Mattis.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Waugh of Stephen's Catholic Church Croghan; his children, Terri S. Gozalkowski (Tim Smith) of Schenectady, Eileen F. Carroll (Robert) of Copenhagen and Garth D. Mattis (Lisa) of Copenhagen; his grandchildren, Cole Gozalkowski, Erin Gozalkowski, Kevin Carroll, Olivia Carroll, Hailey Tweedy, Brenten Mattis and Jackson Mattis; his sister Shirley Bush (Stanley) of Gastonia, NC; and his sister-in-law Alice Jardine (Al) of Sin Lakes, AZ..
