Marjorie B. Searl Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marjorie B. Searl of Cooperstown, New York, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 15, 2024. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marjorie B. Searl to pay them a last tribute.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Marjorie shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Marjorie farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Marjorie Barkin Searl (Margie) and Alan Barkin; her husband Scott Searl; her children, Meghan (Greg Harris), Rebecca (Nathan Johnson) and James (Perin Gürel); and her grandchildren, Kaden, Marjane and Isaac.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Temple B'Rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY 14618).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Art Gallery (https://mag.rochester.edu) (write Marjorie B. Searl endowment in the comments box), restoration of The Children's Pavilion in Highland Park or to the Interfaith Alliance, an organization that aims to counter hate in many forms, including antisemitism and islamophobia.
