He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Boots and Pearl Boots; his brother Roger Boots; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Chilson and Tracy Boots.

He is survived by: his wife Penny; his children, Antoinette Stier (Randal) and Jesse Boots (Crystalanne); his grandchildren, Abigail, Amelia, James, Andy and Emma; and his siblings, Joan Chilson, John Boots (Keitha), Don Boots (Donna), Ralph Boots, Barb Frigon (Dan), Stan Boots (Mary) and Gregg Boots. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of CNY.
