He was predeceased by: his mother Sandra Prebula; his grandparents, Clarence and Dorothy Bomboy; and his brother-in-law Phillip Steson. He is survived by: his wife Bette F. Bomboy; his son Todd Bomboy; his stepdaughter Jennifer; his stepson-in-law Sisouphanh Phommachieng; his grandchildren, Gavin Bomoby, Ashley Holloman, Lyndsie and Summer Phommachieng; and his siblings, Graydon "Tim" (Betty Bomboy), Bradley (Joanne Prebula), Patrick (Kim Prebula), Ella (Joe Sobiech), Monica (Michael Redding) and Michele Stetson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
