She was predeceased by: her husbands, Richard Pelton and Thomas VanKuren; her grandsons, David and Domanick; and her brother Maurice Braman.
She is survived by: her children, Robert (Vickie Pelton), David (Patricia Pelton), Steven (Kimberly Pelton), Sharon (Daniel Lerche) and Susan (Stan Cason); her brother Duane; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Braman and May Braman. She is also survived by grandchildren and thirty-four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Carol's name may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier.
