He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Katherine Barnes Odell and George Wesley Anderson; his wife Lois Anne Whittaker of Bay Ridge, NY; his children, Nancy Anderson Moore (Rick) of Charlottesville, VA and Richard Whittaker Anderson of Congers, NY; his granddaughters, Elizabeth Anderson Moore of Charlottesville and Katherine Claire Moore of Richmond, VA; his great grandchild Sepha Moore of Charlottesville; and his son David James Anderson (Lois).
