He was predeceased by: his mother Agnes Karl. He is survived by: his father Anton Karl; his wife Clara Emilia Ospina; his children, Natasha (Lenny) and Nicholas; and his sister Ingrid Capasso (Paul). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
