He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Rimsa; his parents, Frank Rimsa and Anna Rimsa; and his siblings, Frank Rimsa, John Rimsa, Joanna Chastney, Christine Moore and Geneva Polchlopek.

He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Rimsa (Gregory Valloch) and Kathy Barnard (Andrew) of Churchville, NY; his grandchildren, Cagney Valloch, Noah Valloch, Chelsea Fink (Andrew) and David Barnard; his great grandchild Eloise Fink; and his brothers, Benedict (Jennie) and Donald (Nancy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
