He was predeceased by: his father Matthew G. Derfler III. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his son Andrew; his grandchildren, Autumn and Hunter; his mother Mary Anne Derfler of Conshohocken, PA; and his siblings, John (Teresa Derfler) and Christine (Chad Struse). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a great nephew.
