He is survived by: his children, Stephen Davis (Pota Davis) and Ann Porter of Georgetown, TX; his grandchildren, Stephen Davis II (Allison) of Potsdam, NY and NJ of Laura Porter, TX; his stepchildren, Christopher, Penney Champney of Palmer, AK, Susan and Richard Merchant of Delanson, NY; and his stepgrandchildren, Benjamin Aldrich (Hannah) of New Haven, CT, Ryan Aldrich (Christen) of Bakerfield, CA, Kristian Merchant (Claire) of Clarence, NY, Anna Merchant of Manlius, NY and Grace Merchant of Potsdam, NY. He is also survived by several step-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in Charles' memory can be made to the Colton Fire Department and Rescue squad or the Potsdam Animal Shelter.
