It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda A. Canonica of Colonie, New York, who passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Linda A. Canonica to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Heeran and Mary Alice Irwin (Hewson); her daughter Lisa Marie Getz; her former husband Lemmle J. Getz; and her sisters, Norine Farrell (Jack) and Valerie Fahey (Richard).
She is survived by: her husband James P. Canonica; her daughter Laura Ann Getz; her brothers, Michael Heeran (Patricia) and Edward Heeran (Melanie); and her children, Nancy Hanna (Robert), Kenneth Getz (Judy), Delores Joy (Daniel), Kimberly Canonica, Christopher Canonica and Todd Canonica (Kim).
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home (1700 Washington Ave, Rensselaer, NY 12144). A Mass will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Mary's.
