He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sharon Ford Howlan; his parents, Frances Longo Howlan and James Howlan; his children, James Howlan of Colonie, Ashley Howlan of Albany and Andrew Howlan of Colonie; his grandsons, Peter Miller of Rensselaer and Theodore Howlan of Colonie; his siblings, Peter Howlan of Middletown, Christopher Howlan (Lisa) of Colonie and Joy Tamke (Mark); and his siblings-in-law, John, Karen Ford, Nancy Mieczkowski of Latham, Gary Mieczkowski, David and Anne Ford of Clifton Park. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
