With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel J. Sion of Collins, New York, born in Buffalo, New York, who passed away on October 12, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sion and Mary Sion (Warner); his son Christopher Sion; his son-in-law Thomas Powenski; his brother Paul Sion (Mary); and his brother-in-law Jerry Fronckowiak.
He is survived by: his wife Sara Jane Winter; his children, Daniel Sion of Darien Center, Jeff Sion (Mary) of Lugoff, SC, Timothy Sion (Sharon Urban) of Eden, NY., Teresa Powenski of Collins and Tamara Utley (Rodney) of Perrysburg; and his siblings, David Sion (Mary) of Springville, NY, Linda Pascoe (Phil) of Denver, CO and Susan Fronckowiak of Oneonta, NY.. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
