He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Covey and Audrey Covey (Bruce); and his sisters, Ruth Welch and Deborah Covey. He is survived by: his wife Josephine A. Potter; his children, Floyd Covey III (Sheila) of Potsdam, Kimberly Dashno (Gregory), Dr. Andrew Covey (Rock) of Buffalo and Audrey Fidler (Ryan) of Prospect; his foster son Paul Guarnieri (Lenore); and his siblings, Nancy York of Potsdam, Malcolm Covey of Potsdam and Dean Covey (Kimberly). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
