He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Root and Laura Root (Putnam); and his siblings, Anna Davis, Rosemary Saville and Philip Root.
He is survived by: his nephew Philip (Valerie Root) of Cold Brook; his brother Karl Root of Waterloo; and his sister-in-law Carol Root of Cold Brook.
