He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter J. Lipka Sr. and Agnes Flanagan Lipka; his daughter Catherine Lipka; and his brother James Lipka. He is survived by: his wife Diane Kennedy Lipka; and his grandchildren, Alex (Abi), Steven, Andrew, Kayleigh Lipka and Gunnar Miorin.
