She was predeceased by: her parent Elmer Allen; her husband Vince Dwyer; her sons, William Oathout and Edward Oathout; and her siblings, Russell Allen, Clifford "Kip" Allen, Dorcus Allen and Ann Turchin.
She is survived by: her parent Betty Allen (Mead); her children, Sandy, Russell Oathout (Maryanne) of Delaware, Ada Johnson (late Roy) of Albany, Betty Harmon (late Chuck) of Tacoma, Thomas Oathout (late Diane) of Scotia, Curtis Oathout (Alicia), Michael Cleveland (Sherry) of Hoosick Falls and Michael Dwyer of Cohoes; and her sister Jeanette "Sis" Rescott. She is also survived by several grandchildren; great- grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A private Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 7th, followed by a prayer service at 2:30 p.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland, NY.In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley's name may be made to The Community Hospice, 310 S.
