With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lawrence I Marcus of Cohoes, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lawrence left this world on February 15, 2025 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his mother Elaine Marcus (Lehr); his brother Richard Marcus (Constance "Connie" Marcus); and his brother-in-law David Einfeldt. He is survived by: his father Benjamin Marcus; his sister Teri Einfeldt of West Hartford, CT; his children, Alexandra Lowry (Patrick) of Cohoes, NY and Brett Marcus; and his granddaughter Eloise Lowry. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. (45 John St, Saugerties, NY 12477). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
He also was recently treated with quite a few blood transfusions, which prolonged his life, and the family would love, in lieu of flowers, for a donation to any of the above to be made in his honor.
