He was predeceased by : his parents, Roland Comtois and Catherine Radliff Gleason Comtois; and his sister Joanne Comtois. He is survived by : his wife Kathleen Wilder of Cohoes; his children, Robin Dandridge of Troy and Joseph Wilder of Cohoes; his grandchildren, Sierra Comtois of Cohoes, Janae Comtois of Schenectady, DeShon Dandridge, II of Cohoes and Joelle Wilder of Cohoes; his great grandchild Avira Comtois; and his siblings, Marion, Frank Heroux, Roland Comtois, Kathleen Sayers, Lorrie O'Konski of Alabama, John Gleason, Jr., Darrin, Vanessa Gleason, Michael and Kristine Gleason. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
