He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Sickles and Rena Roddy Sickles; his former wife Catherine Coraldi Sickles; and his siblings, George, Thomas, Jack Sickles and Helen Fox.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Hennessy Sickles; and his children, Linda Weir (Daniel), Deborah Kilcrease (Dean) and Joseph R. Sickles Jr. (Jennifer). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
