It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald E. Sweeney (Cohoes, New York), born in Elmira, New York, who passed away on October 3, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Timothy Sweeney and Dorothy Gillette Sweeney; and his sister JoEllen Sweeney. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hamilton Sweeney; his children, Kelly Ahearn (Joseph) of Brunswick, Geri Ann Sweeney of Ovid and Colleen Titus (Mark); and his brother Michael Joseph Sweeney of Albany. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
