With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward S Adamczyk Jr. of Cohoes, New York, who passed away on April 19, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Adamczyk and Jadwiga Szmitkowski Adamczyk. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Adamczyk of Georgia, Jeffrey Adamczyk of Maryland and Karen Hewes of Alaska; his grandchildren, Pierce, Caitlyn and Brandon; his close friend Shawn Monahan of Cohoes; his sisters, Anna Barbagallo (late Thomas) of Cohoes, Christina Adamczyk Amyot (Wanda Feather) of Cohoes, Gertrude Lefebvre and Casimir Adamczyk (Phyllis Laranjo); and his sister-in-law Catherine Adamczyk of Cohoes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A volunteer at the Cohoes Community Center, he was active in Halfmoon Senior Center, Gilda's Club, now American Cancer Society, a former member of the Lansingburgh American Legion and former member of the Cohoes-Waterford Elks.
