She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mencarelli and Olga Mencarelli; and her sibling Leno Mencarelli. She is survived by: her husband Frank D. Colaruotolo; her brother Rico Mencarelli; her children, Mary Ellen Colaruotolo, Alexander "Sandy" Colaruotolo (Lori) and Frank J. Colaruotolo; and her grandchildren, Lauren Flexer (Jay), Elizabeth Colaruotolo (Steven Scofield) and Alexander "Jamey" Colaruotolo (Victoria). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Doris's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
