He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Serhyj Chorny and Katarzyna Shulkowski Chorny; his wife Irene Fedusiw Chorny; his children, Kristyna Moroukian (Herb) of Wynantskill, Michael Chorny (Terri) of Las Vegas, NV, Andre Chorny (late Kim "Liz") of Clifton Park and Larissa Fiacco (Anthony) of Mechanicville; and his sister Chrystyna Szandyba. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
