Albert E. VanRoy Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Albert E. VanRoy in Cohoes, New York, who passed away on April 18, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Albert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Albert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John VanRoy and Margaret VanRoy; his wife Winifred; and his brothers, Patrick and Jack VanRoy.

He is survived by: his children, Loreen VanRoy-Walker of Syracuse, Scott VanRoy (Karen) of Averill Park and Keith VanRoy (Julie) of Saugerties. He is also survived by Several grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. (45 John St, Saugerties, NY 12477). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
