He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynn Mehlenbacher and Irene Mehlenbacher (Eichorn); his former wife Beverly Mehlenbacher (Habberfield); his wife Joyce Mehlenbacher (Matthews); and his brothers, Theodore and Blaine Mehlenbacher.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Woodworth, Brenda Townsend (Jack) of Atlanta and Todd Mehlenbacher (Cheryl) of Cohocton; his grandchildren, Cody Townsend (Krista) of Cohocton, Collin Townsend (Gypsy) of Avoca, Erica Sawyer (Lucas) of Hornell and Kyle Mehlenbacher (Jennifer) of Wayland; his great grandchildren, Colson, Oaklynn Towner, Lyla and Myles Townsend; and his sister Sharron Moss of Avoca. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews & extended family.
The family asks in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Cohocton Valley Ambulance Service or American Cancer Society where Burl had been a long time donor in memory of his late wife Joyce.
