She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenwood Martin (Glen) and Lena Martin; and her siblings, Glen Martin, Elizabeth Ferriere, Marion Waldron, Martha Martin and Robert Martin.
She is survived by: her husband John F. Firstiun Sr. of Coeymans; her children, John F. Firstiun Jr. (Monika) of Germany, Steven T. Firstiun (Lisa) of New Baltimore, Lisa A. Fabe (Greg) of Delmar, Joseph M. Firstiun (Theresa) of New Baltimore and Melissa L. Sleurs of New Baltimore; and her sister Nancy Boomhower. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
