He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smith and Louise Garrison Smith; and his brothers, John, Fred, Paul and Mike.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Sheppard Smith; his daughters, Michele Wenzel (Paul), Lori Parlinski (John) and Jeanette Bates (Josh); his grandchildren, Paul, Ashley, Patrick, Ryan, Adriana and Ava; and his sisters, Iris Santana and April Martin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
