He is survived by: his parents, Patrick Michael Valhos and Lucinda June Strickland Valhos; his daughter Olivia Joyce Valhos; his siblings, Patti Monton (Brian), Lewis Valhos (Jessica) and Tara Valhos (Andy Reightmyer); his nieces and nephews, Haley, Hunter, Madison, Victoria, Carson, Jesse and Raina; his great-niece Ophelia; and his great-nephew Theodore.

“I only knew Tom when he was in middle school at Radez. My favorite memory (which I often share with a warm feeling in my heart) is turning the corner on the third floor and being hit in the face with water from a squirt gun. I will never forget the look on Tom’s face. As we walked toward each other, I simply put out my hand and as he gave me the gun, I simply said “nice shot” and walked on. That day he made my day. My heart goes out to all his family and friends.”
